Chinova Bioworks Receives Vegan and Kosher Certifications
Chinova Biowork’s CHIBER™ Mushroom Chitosan Fiber ingredient is now suitable for consumers following a Vegan and a Kosher diet! Chinova Bioworks, the maker of the natural preservative ingredient Chiber™, received its official Vegan and Kosher certification from the Kashruth Council of Canada.
Chinova’s Chiber mushroom chitosan ingredient is now considered Vegan and Kosher Pareve.

With Chiber™ being 100% white button mushroom fiber, this is one of the first times that chitosan, where it’s typically produced from shellfish, can be Vegan and Kosher certified”
Chiber™ is an antimicrobial food and beverage preservative made from a fiber extracted from mushrooms, called chitosan. It has the advantages of broad-spectrum antimicrobial effectiveness while being a healthy natural fiber.
